Summer Semester 2018

The Period of Instruction begins on April 9 and ends on July 13, 2018.

Winter Semester 2018

The Period of Instruction begins on October 15, 2018 and ends on February 8,2019. The orientation week for new students will begin on October 8, 2018.

When do I have to arrive in Erfurt for my first semester?

The Brandt School conducts an orientation week for new students before the official semester begins. For 2018, the orientation week will take place from October 8 - 12, 2018. Classes and lectures will begin on October 15, 2018. Participation in the orientation week is mandatory. If you are living in the student dormitories, move-in date is October 1st. During the orientation week, we assist you in taking care of the necessary formalities such as opening a bank account, obtaining health insurance, registering at the university, and obtaining your residency permit.

When do I have to pay the tuition fee and the semester contribution?

The tuition fee for the first semester of your first academic year is due 4 weeks after you have received our final admission letter via postal mail. For all applications sent later than August 15, 2018, the deadline for payment is September 15, 2018. Detailed payment information is included in your admission documents. Upon your arrival in Erfurt, the semester contribution may be paid in cash at the University of Erfurt cashier. Again, details are included in your admission documents.

In future semesters, the tuition fee and semester contribution are both due on January 31 for the summer semester and June 30 for the winter semester.
