The German Railway (Deutsche Bahn AG) high speed trains travel regularly to Erfurt from all parts of Germany. Online information on train connections to and from Erfurt is available at www.bahn.de.
To reach the University from the main train station (Erfurt HBF) take tram No. 3 (in the direction of Europaplatz) or No. 6 (in the direction of Rieth) to the stop "Baumerstraße". The tram ride from the train station takes about 10 minutes. From the stop, you have to walk only 100 metres towards the university. The Brandt School facilities are on the right side.
Erfurt can be reached via motorways A 4 and A 71. From the west (Frankfurt/Main), take A 4 Frankfurt-Dresden to “Erfurter Kreuz”. From Erfurter Kreuz, drive along A 71 to the exit "Erfurt-Bindersleben". Then follow the signs to Erfurt-Nord and Hauptklinikum / Universität. From the East (Dresden or Leipzig), follow A 4 Dresden-Frankfurt to the “Erfurt-Ost” exit. Then follow the signs to Zentrum and Hauptklinikum/Universität. There is a visitors' parking lot behind the university campus with ample free parking spaces available.
