Workshop on "Automation, Digitalization and the future of the Welfare State"

Gerhard Haniel Professor for Public Policy and International Development Achim Kemmerling co-organized a workshop on „Automation, Digitalization and the future of the Welfare State“ together with Professor Frank Nullmeier from 17th to 19th January 2019. Hosted by the University of Bremen, topics included the labour market and policy consequences of automation, the future of gig work, and the implications for public, health and social policy. Academics and experts from several European countries and the United States attended this first session of an extended series of workshops.
