Originally from Ecuador, Andrés González studied Political Science, Communication Science and International Law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, where he earned both a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a doctoral title (Ph.D.) He worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of International Politics of the Geschwister-Scholl Institute for Political Science in Munich with Prof. Friedrich Kratochwil. Currently, he works as a Professor for International Relations at the University San Francisco de Quíto.
