Dr. Judith von Heusinger is currently working for an NGO in the field of the prevention of human trafficking and female-specific forms of violence (such as forced prostitution, domestic violence, violence in the name of honor and female genital cutting). She is a trained mediator and regular lecturer at Center for Conflict Studies (CCS) at Marburg University. Before, she worked as a research fellow at CCS, where she also received her PhD in sociology with a comparative work on development aid programs in Cambodia and Kyrgyzstan. Her research interests comprise norm diffusion and localization theory as well as health and human rights standards in development aid.
