Dr. Martin Borowsky

Martin Borowsky is a judge at the Regional Court of Erfurt and holds a Ph.D. in Law (University of Munich). His dissertation dealing with the arbitrator's award in common law received merits both from the Faculty of Law of the University of Munich and from the German Institution for Arbitration.

In 2000 and 2001, he was assigned to the Thuringian State Chancellery to coordinate the project dealing with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights for the German "Länder". In this context, he participated in the sessions of the Convention for Fundamental Rights in Brussels.

Afterwards, he edited the Convention's protocols and documents and contributed to the Charter's leading annotation in the German-speaking countries. He is also working on the chapters about human dignity and the General Terms of the Convention in the third edition of the commentary by Jürgen Meyer that will be published soon by the Nomos Publishing Company.
