Kesnia Meshkova

Ksenia Meshkova comes from St. Petersburg, Russia and has been living in Germany since 2007. She is a graduate of St. Petersburg State University, Tartu University and the Willy Brandt School at the University of Erfurt. At the moment she is in the last year of her PhD research on lived experiences of intimate partner violence (IPV) of young urban women as well as the feminist movement against IPV in Russia at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She is an active member of several organizations working on topics of violence against women and femicide. Meshkova’s studies have been sponsored by Nordic Council of Ministers, DAAD and Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
