Marc-Antoine Renaud

Marc-Antoine Renaud is Vice-President, Strategic Development for the Canadian company Eolectric. His responsibilities include: to oversee the entire development portfolio, to identify and execute business opportunities for the company’s investment vehicles and to negotiate strategic partnerships.

Active in the renewable energy sector for a decade both in Canada and abroad, Marc-Antoine Renaud was a Board member of the Canadian Wind Energy Association and an active lobbyist with various governmental authorities on energy issues.

He was Business Development Manager for the Canadian start-up team of the largest German wind turbine manufacturer and, as such, contributed to the growth of what is now the country’s largest wind industry employer. He also managed $600M worth of contracts for key accounts at different stage of development, from initial discussions to financial close.

Marc-Antoine Renaud has also worked at the World Wind Energy Association head office in Bonn, Germany, where he supported corporate members to enter emerging markets and lobbied governments worldwide.

His first steps in the renewable sector were as consultant for biofuels market assessment and wind farm cooperative start-ups. Marc-Antoine holds a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Erfurt in Germany and a Bachelor degree in International Economics from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
