Manuela Spindler is Junior Professor for International Politics at the University of Erfurt. Before taking up her current position, she was a lecturer at the Chair for International Relations, Jean Monnet Chair of European Integration at the University of Mannheim, and a research fellow at the Centre for the Study of Globalization and Regionalization at the University of Warwick. Prof. Spindler holds a Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim and a master's degree in International Studies from the University of Warwick. In the academic year 2007/2008 Manuela Spindler was a visiting professor at the BMW Center for German and European Studies, Georgetown University/School of Foreign Service in Washington D.C.. In research and teaching, she primarily focuses on the theory and philosophy of science in international relations, regionalism in the global economy and in international security, and international institutions.
