Dr. Petra Gümplová is a Fellow at the Max-Weber-Kolleg, University of Erfurt. During the summer semester 2019, she will represent the professorship "Sociology with a focus on Political Sociology" at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Erfurt. She holds a PhD from The New School for Social Research, New York, USA. She specializes in political and legal theory and her research fields include natural resources, territorial rights, human rights, constitutionalism, democracy, and global justice. Her book Sovereignty and Constitutional Democracy was published in 2011 with Nomos. Currently, Petra Gümplová works on a book on natural resources and justice.
